Curriculum

Weslaco ISD CTE courses are aligned with the State of Texas TEKS for Middle School and High School. These TEKS are designed by TEA to support teachers in their planning and designing of their units of study to ensure that all students receive a rigorous curriculum.

Career and Technical Education courses are developed using pathways that prepare students for a career, including state and nationally recognized certifications and/or licenses. These pathways align with three of the Texas Foundation with Endorsement graduation plans: Business & Industry, Public Service, and STEM (Science, Technology, Education & Mathematics).
